Shiri Diskin has a strong background in medical writing, with over 10 years of experience in the field. Shiri started their career at Teva Pharmaceuticals as a Medical Writer before progressing to roles such as Manager, Senior Medical Writer, and Medical Writing Leader. During their time at Teva Pharmaceuticals, they managed a team of medical writers and coordinated the outsourcing of projects. Shiri also worked as a Medical Writing Instructor and Consultant at Science Write Right, where they authored a guide to writing articles in the biomedical sciences. Currently, Shiri is the Senior Vice President of Medical Writing at Bioforum the Data Masters, where they lead a team in writing clear, accurate, and regulation-compliant documents. Outside of their professional work, Shiri was a Graduate Student at Tufts University and served as a Lieutenant and Medical Administrator in the Israeli Defense Forces. Their responsibilities in the IDF included coordinating military participation in hospital drills, training reserve army medical personnel, managing emergency equipment warehouses, and drafting protocols for wartime medical personnel.
Shiri Diskin pursued their education in the field of science. Shiri obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Tel Aviv University, where they attended from 1998 to 2001. Subsequently, they furthered their studies at Tufts University School of Medicine from 2001 to 2007, where they earned a Ph.D. in Cell Biology and Biochemistry.
