Mike Cassata is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the bioeconomy sector. As Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer of Biofine Developments Northeast Inc. since 2019, Mike focuses on advancing the circular bioeconomy in Maine through innovative technology that converts cellulosic waste into carbon negative biofuels and renewable chemicals. In addition, Mike has served as Chief Development Officer at Biofine Technology, LLC since 2015, where the patented bio-refining process has received recognition such as the President’s Green Chemistry Award in 1999. Previous roles include consulting for Kanoot and positions in finance at Income Research & Management and Citi. Mike holds an MBA from Babson College and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Bentley University.
