Derry Mercer currently serves as the Responsable du Programme Antimicrobiens at BIOASTER, providing support for antimicrobial research and development since January 2023. Additionally, Derry is a member of the INCATE Management Team, contributing to the support of INCATE ventures since October 2023. As a Trustee and Honorary Policy Officer for the Biochemical Society since 2020, Derry has played a key role in policy development. From March 2013, Derry has held a Visiting Professor position at Robert Gordon University, focusing on research, teaching, and knowledge transfer. Prior experience includes serving as Principal Scientist at NovaBiotics Ltd from June 2005 to January 2023, specializing in antimicrobial drug discovery. Derry's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Microbiology and a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology, both obtained from the University of Liverpool.
