Kyle Thompson has a diverse work experience. In 2022, they began working as a Scientist II for BioAscent. Prior to that, they were a Sales Consultant for O2 (Telefónica UK) from 2017 to 2021. In 2016, they worked as a Student Ambassador for the University of Aberdeen and as a Customer Consultant for Dixons Carphone. From 2015 to 2016, they were Self-Employed as a Private Tutor, teaching a variety of subjects within life sciences to students ranging from Scottish standard grades to university year one level.

Kyle Thompson attended the University of Aberdeen from 2014 to 2018, where they earned a BSc in Biomedical Sciences (Pharmacology). Kyle then continued their studies at the University of Aberdeen from 2018 to 2022, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Pharmacology.
