Sanjay Jain serves as the Director at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation since March 2024, focusing on promoting safe and inclusive digital public infrastructure in low- and middle-income countries. Since 2018, Sanjay has held the position of Chairman of the Technology Committee at the Modular Open Source Identity Platform (MOSIP), advocating for effective digital ID solutions. Sanjay's involvement with the iSPIRT Foundation includes roles as a volunteer and previously as a fellow, contributing to India's digital initiatives like the India Stack. As a partner at Bharat Innovation Fund from May 2018 to March 2024, Sanjay supported IP-led innovation in India. Additional experience includes serving as Chief Innovation Officer at CIIE.CO, Director of Platforms at EkStep Foundation, and Entrepreneur in Residence at Khosla Labs. Sanjay co-founded Novopay Solutions Private Limited and has held directorial roles, showcasing a strong foundational background in technology and innovation, supported by a B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Bombay and an MS in Computer Science from UCLA.
