Barake began their career at Schlumberger in 1998 as a Financial Controller. In 2006, they were promoted to Director of Finance - Transformation and then to Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at Dover Energy in 2016. Most recently, they served as Vice President - Corporate Treasury & M&A at Shawcor from 2017 to 2020.
Barake holds a degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.

Imad is also certified from the Forensic Certified Public Accountants Association as a Forensic Certified Public Accountant (FCPA). Finally, they have certification from the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
