Bill Kromydas is a Senior Computer Vision Engineer at Big Vision LLC, specializing in the development of instructional content for AI and Computer Vision courses at OpenCV.org. Previously, Kromydas served as a Research Scientist at NorthWest Research Associates, where enhancements to radar ray shooting code and terrain modeling were made using Python. Kromydas's extensive experience also includes a lengthy tenure as Lead Systems Engineer at Parsons Corporation, overseeing technical management and software integration for defense and aerospace projects, notably contributing to the SBIRS-Low program. Kromydas holds a Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University, along with additional education in computer vision and self-driving technologies from institutions such as Stanford University and UC San Diego.
