Scott Markley is a seasoned communications professional currently serving as Vice President of Strategic Communications at Big Ten Conference since August 2023. Prior roles include Senior Associate Athletic Director for Communications at the University of California, Los Angeles, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing a 16-person communications department and serving as head spokesperson for UCLA Athletics. Scott's extensive experience spans various industries, with previous positions at Kellogg Company, McDonald's, Walmart, the Supreme Court of the United States, and the U.S. House of Representatives. Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Economics from San Diego State University.
