Sayako Minami has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. They began their career in 2012 as a Production Design Team Member at Killing Winston Jones. In 2013, Sayako was a Creative Intern at DreamLab, where they gained experience in editing photos and graphics as well as participating in film and photo shoots. Later that year, they also worked as a Collaborative Learning Center participant at Savannah College of Art and Design, contributing to the Recruiting Revolution project for SCAD Admissions.
In 2014, Sayako worked as a Creative Intern at iCrossing before joining the Community Coalition for Haiti as the Delivery Manager for a sponsored course focused on designing flexible classrooms for Haiti.
Starting in 2015, Sayako worked as a Freelance Designer for the Alex Townsend Memorial Foundation, creating a hero poster for the A-Town Get Down arts and music festival in Savannah, GA. They continued to provide branding design services for the foundation.
In 2016, Sayako held multiple roles, starting as a Design Apprentice at Moxie Sozo and later becoming an Art Director at TDA_Boulder. They worked with these companies until 2019 when they joined McCann New York as an Art Director. Most recently, Sayako has been employed as a Senior Art Director at Big Spaceship since 2021.
Sayako Minami completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Advertising from Savannah College of Art and Design, attending from 2011 to 2015.
