Vanessa Alequin serves as the Director of Development Operations at National Louis University since April 2022. Alongside this role, Vanessa has been with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago since September 2014, where responsibilities have included serving as an Efficiency Automation Specialist, Senior Manager of Site-Based Customer Service & Processing, and Bilingual Site-Based Program Coordinator. In these capacities, Vanessa has focused on enhancing workflow efficiencies through technology integration, managing teams, developing strategies for program implementation, and overseeing volunteer and youth recruitment. Previous experience includes roles as a Youth Development Worker at the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago and as a Citizenship Instructor at the Association House of Chicago. Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Science in Latin American and Latino Studies from DePaul University.
