Farai Musariri has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. They started their career as an Intern at EducationUSA, where they planned and coordinated activities to promote relations between the community and the US education system. They also led various initiatives, such as the USAP Cares humanitarian effort.
They then worked as a Grants and Projects Intern at Island Hospice & Healthcare in Zimbabwe, conducting prospect research, writing grant proposals, and assessing public health needs.
At Shepherd Higher Education Consortium on Poverty, Farai held roles as an Ambassador and an ARK Intern for Episcopal Communisty Services of Maryland. They conducted child health evaluations, collected and updated data for grant applications, and presented research findings on urban homelessness.
Farai also worked at St. Bernards Healthcare as a Cancer Registry Staff member and later as a Clinical Research Coordinator for Heart & Vascular. In these roles, they coordinated studies, collected patient data, and worked closely with research teams and hospital staff.
They have also worked in the sales field, serving as a Virtual Sales Executive for Victory Lap, where they drove new business development. At Array Behavioral Care, they held roles such as Sr. Manager of Payor Solutions and Associate Director of Business Development, responsible for increasing access to mental and behavioral health services.
Their early career involved working as a Resident Assistant and a SOAR Team Leader at Hendrix College, where they mentored and supervised resident assistants and played a role in program administration. They also worked as a Natural Sciences Research Assistant, conducting organic chemistry and microbiology research.
Farai also had experience at the University of Notre Dame, where they worked as an Entrepreneurial Lead, conducting market validation and providing regulatory advising for tech startups. They also worked as a Research Associate and a Master's Candidate, conducting research on lung cancer awareness and working as a commercialization intern for a molecular diagnostic startup.
Currently, Farai is working as a Regional Director of Payor Strategy at Bicycle Health, where they are responsible for cultivating relationships with payors.
Farai Musariri pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with distinction and Latin Honors in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, ASBMB Certified at Hendrix College from 2012 to 2016. Farai then earned a Master of Science (MS) in Engineering, Science, and Technology Entrepreneurship from the University of Notre Dame from 2019 to 2020. Prior to that, they attended St Patrick's High in Gweru, Zimbabwe from 2006 to 2011, but did not obtain a specific degree there. Farai also holds additional certifications in Building Resilience from LinkedIn, and Sales and Prospecting Strategies Training as well as Hubspot Sales Certification from Victory Lap and HubSpot respectively.
