Chris Caputo serves as the Chief Science Officer and Scientific Consultant at BIC since 2022, while also holding the position of Associate Professor and Tier II Canada Research Chair at York University since 2017. Prior to these roles, Caputo co-founded Elect STEM in 2020 and was the Director of Research and Product Development at inkbox from 2016 to 2017. Caputo completed an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard University from 2015 to 2016 and earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Toronto from 2010 to 2015. Additional experience includes consulting for Totally Green, serving as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Münster, and working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Windsor, resulting in publications and conference presentations. Caputo's leadership and innovative contributions have significantly impacted various educational and scientific initiatives.
