Xian Yu is a Senior Acoustic Software Engineer at Biamp since August 2019, leading the technical development of VenuePolar, an EASE Focus plugin for automating loudspeaker system design, and holds a US patent. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Consultant and Director of Sound Modeling at Metropolitan Acoustics from July 2016 to August 2019, specializing in interior room acoustics, sound system design, and noise control while consulting for notable clients such as the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Xian Yu also worked as a Technical Applications Engineer at Community Professional Loudspeakers, contributing to major projects like the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympics stadiums, and started in the field as a Software Developer intern at Acoustical Design Collaborative. Xian Yu holds a Master’s degree in Audio Sciences from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Recording Engineering from Communication University of China.
