Teófilo Vasconcelos is an accomplished professional in the field of pharmaceutical sciences with extensive experience at BIAL since March 2011. Currently serving as the Head of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Teófilo has held various titles including Manager of Pharmaceutical Technology and Drug Bioavailability Service, Formulation Manager, and Senior Formulation Scientist. Responsibilities include the characterization of new chemical entities and the development and implementation of drug delivery systems technologies. Teófilo's career at BIAL began in February 2002 as a Training Formulation Scientist, advancing through roles focused on formulation development and clinical trials. Teófilo holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics and Drug Design from the University of Porto and various degrees in pharmaceutical technology and solid dispersions from Oporto University.
