Raquel Figueiredo is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in analytical sciences and R&D, currently serving as Senior Manager Analytical Sciences R&D at BIAL since March 2008. In this role, Raquel leads analytical activities throughout the drug development process, managing method development, validation, and project milestones in a hybrid environment. Previous positions at BIAL include Analytical Development Manager, Analytical Development Scientist, Stability Testing and Validation Specialist, and Quality Control Specialist, where responsibilities encompassed method validation, regulatory support, and stability studies. Prior experience at SUMA involved quality control, water analysis, and laboratory accreditation support. Raquel's educational background includes ongoing PhD studies in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon, along with a Master in Industrial Pharmaceutical Chemistry and a Bachelor in Biochemistry, complemented by specialized training in Quality by Design at the University of Copenhagen.
