John Scolaro is a Senior Software Engineer currently employed at BHP since December 2023. Prior to this role, John worked at Polymathian from May 2021 to September 2023, where contributions included designing web applications for the mining industry that optimized supply chains and saved clients significant costs. Between February 2018 and April 2021, John served as an Embedded Software Developer at CSIRO, where involvement in the Embedded Intelligence team included the development of advanced ear tag technology for cattle. John began the professional journey at the University of Queensland as a Student Tutor from January 2014 to February 2018, tutoring various physics and engineering subjects. Additionally, a summer research scholarship was awarded to John in late 2013 to work at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Engineered Quantum Systems, focusing on developing an innovative imaging objective lens system. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Queensland, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Toronto.
