Heather Smith Ketter has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Heather started their career in 1996 as a Claims Assistant at State Farm® and worked there until 1999. Heather then joined Rheem Manufacturing as an Administrative Assistant from 1999 to 2001. Following that, Heather worked at United Automobile Insurance Company as an Auto Claims Adjuster from 2001 to 2004. Since 2004, they have been with BHC Insurance, where they have held various roles including Personal Lines Account Manager, Commercial Lines Account Manager, and currently, they are serving as the Commercial Lines Director of Marketing.

Heather Smith Ketter, CPSR, obtained a high school diploma from Southside High School between 1996 and 1999. After completing high school, they attended the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith from 1999 to 2001, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. In terms of additional certifications, they became a Certified Professional Service Representative (CPSR) through the National Foundation of CPSR in January 2005. Additionally, they obtained an Arkansas P&C License from the Arkansas Insurance Department in January 2004. In 2020, Heather Smith Ketter also completed the Leadership Fort Smith Class offered by the Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce.
