Diego Lijtmaer has held various roles in different companies throughout their career. In 2012, they founded Bacanal, an invitation-only social discovery community that curates exclusive events and develops hospitality concepts. Diego remained with Bacanal until February 2018. From June 2016 to July 2019, they served as the Director of Business Development at Just Eat, a company listed on the LSE and part of FTSE 100. Diego also served as a Board Member for Just Eat during this time. In September 2017, they became an Advisory Board Member and investor at Alice, a position that lasted until January 2020. In 2019, Diego co-founded Bezos, where they served as co-CEO from January 2019 to July 2021 and continued as a co-founder until the present. Diego has since been involved in various investment roles, including being an investor at SimpleFi starting in September 2021, an investor at ReFi Labs starting in January 2022, an LP at Rally Cap Ventures starting in January 2022, and an investor at Unmapped Digital Mining starting in March 2022. Additionally, Diego co-founded Rumi Finance in March 2022 and became a co-founder of Decentral Art Pavillion in January 2022, where they aim to bridge the gap between traditional and crypto Art.
