Chris Blight has a diverse work experience in various management roles. From 1998 to 2001, they worked at BankSA as a Senior Manager Homestart, overseeing the Credit Approval function for Homestart loans and managing key relationships with lenders and stakeholders. From 2001 to 2006, they served as a Regional Manager at CPS Credit Union, responsible for managing multiple branches and leading the sales team. Starting in 2006, Chris joined Beyond Bank Australia, where they held two roles consecutively. As the State Manager Eastern Division, they led the operational and strategic functions of the branch and mobile relationship network, achieving portfolio growth and representing the organization on various committees. In their most recent role as Senior Manager Business Enablement, they led a diverse portfolio of functions supporting the bank with mergers and acquisitions, property/facilities and procurement operations, business optimization, lending control frameworks, regulatory matters, and statistical data reporting. Additionally, Chris has also been involved in nonprofit organizations as President of the Friends for Fred Hollows Foundation and the Amaroo School P&C Association.
Chris Blight completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Human Resources Management and Services at the University of Newcastle from 2010 to 2012. Chris also obtained a High School Certificate in Accounting and Business/Management upon graduating from Year 12 at Morphett Vale High in the period of 1980 to 1985. Furthermore, Chris pursued a Chartered Manager degree in Organizational Leadership at the Institute of Managers and Leaders starting in 2018. Additionally, they earned a certification in "How to Be More Strategic in Six Steps" from LinkedIn in November 2022.
