Mahmoud El Zayet has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Mahmoud is currently the Director of Cloud Services at Bexprt, starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Microsoft as a Sr. Cloud Solution Architect from March 2020 to May 2023. Mahmoud also had significant roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where they served as a Sr. Solutions Architect for Global Accounts from December 2016 to March 2020, and as a AWS Sr. Technical Trainer for EMEA from January 2014 to December 2016. Mahmoud has also worked at Cequens, where they held the position of Chief Solutions Architect from January 2013 to December 2013, and Technical Architect / Software Team Leader from March 2012 to January 2013. Before joining Cequens, they had various roles as a Sr. Solutions Developer and Technical Leader from January 2005 to March 2012.

Mahmoud El Zayet obtained a Bsc. degree in Computer Science from The American University in Cairo from 2000 to 2004. Mahmoud also has several additional certifications, including being an Authorized Instructor for Amazon Web Services (AWS), an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, and a Microsoft Connected Communities - Subject Matter Expert in 2022. Mahmoud obtained the certifications of AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional in 2022 and 2022 respectively. Mahmoud obtained a Microsoft Valuable Contributor Gold certification in 2022. Additionally, they have certifications from Microsoft OpenHack, including being an OpenHack: Containers Coach in 2022 and OpenHack: Serverless in 2021. Mahmoud also achieved the Azure Architecture Center Contributor - Bronze FY21 certification from Microsoft in 2021. Mahmoud has further certifications from Microsoft, including being an OpenHack: DevOps Coach in 2021 and acquiring the certifications of OpenHack: DevOps and OpenHack: Containers in 2020. Mahmoud is a Microsoft Global Challenger, and they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification in 2020.
