Caroline Barulis has extensive experience as a Creative Pattern Cutter and Pattern Maker. Caroline has worked as a Senior Freelance Creative Pattern Cutter for ERDEM, Sunder, Emilia Wickstead, and Olivia von Halle Ltd, where they utilized both manual and Gerber pattern cutting techniques.
Caroline also has experience working as a Head Pattern Cutter and Technical Consultant for various brands in Qatar, Bahrain, and Abu Dhabi. In these roles, they collaborated closely with designers to develop initial patterns and toiles for collections, implemented technical systems within sample rooms, and led teams to achieve a high-end luxury finish and brand identity.
Additionally, Caroline has been a Senior Freelance Creative Pattern Cutter for Harmur and served as the Managing Director of their own company, Barulis Limited, where they provided pattern cutting services using manual and Gerber techniques and acted as a technical consultant for luxury brands.
Their career in pattern cutting began in 2003 and they have continually honed their skills and expertise in the field.
Caroline Barulis has a diverse education history in the field of fashion and pattern making. Caroline began their education in 1998 at Hertford Regional College, where they pursued a BTEC Fashion degree and achieved a Merit. Continuing their education, Caroline enrolled at the University of Northampton from 2000 to 2003, earning a 1st Class BA (Hons) Degree in Fashion.
Throughout their career, Caroline sought additional training and education to further enhance their skills. Caroline received private tuition in Womenswear Tailoring in 2008 and advanced their knowledge in Womenwear Pattern Cutting at Martin Shobens London School of Fashion Studies in 2007.
In 2010, Caroline pursued CAD/CAM and Gerber training at the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, indicating their commitment to staying current with technological advancements in the industry. Most recently, they enrolled in the Savile Row Training Academy in 2013 to specialize in Women's wear Tailoring. Their education history demonstrates their dedication to continuously improving their pattern making and creative skills within the fashion industry.
