Andrew Swerlick is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in various roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as a Staff Engineer and Lead Engineer at Betterment since January 2021, Andrew focuses on software development and engineering leadership. Prior to that, Andrew held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Herrmann International, where responsibilities included building software platforms for HBDI assessments and internal processes. Andrew's experience also includes a role as a Software Developer at Cardinal Solutions, where technical leadership and mentorship were key, as well as project management for diverse client projects. Earlier roles include Lead Analyst at Engage, Inc., and a strong foundation in writing and editing from various positions at The Emory Writing Center, The Emory Wheel, and as a Freelance Writer. Andrew earned a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from Emory University in 2008.
