Barrett Johnston has diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. They started their career as an intern at the Dallas Film Commission in 2007. In 2008, they interned as a Tech Crew Intern at The American Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival. They also gained experience as a Publicity Intern at Focus Features in 2007-2008.

From 2009 to 2011, Barrett worked at Good Name Productions and Paper Street Films, where they held roles as a Freelance Production Assistant, Office Manager, and Assistant to the Executive Producer.

In 2013, they joined Remington Hotels as an Office Assistant and worked there until 2015.

From 2015 to 2017, Barrett worked at Highgate, holding positions as an Administrative Assistant, HR Assistant, and Executive Assistant to the COO.

Their next position was at Republic Property Group, where they served as an Executive Assistant to the CEOs from 2017 to 2021.

Currently, Barrett Johnston has been working at BetterLesson since 2021, first as an Executive Assistant from August 2021 to January 2022, and then transitioning into the role of Administrative Operations Manager from January 2022 onwards.

From 2005 to 2009, Barrett Johnston attended New York University, where they graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Film & Television Production.
