Himanshu Patel has over 20 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Himanshu currently serves as the Vice President of R&D at Beta Bionics. Prior to that, they founded their own company, Paeco, in 2010. In 2008, they co-founded ReUsense and also worked as a Principal Software Engineer/Consultant at Sparton Corporation. From 2001 to 2008, they worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Medtronic. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Software Engineer at Cisco Systems and as a Project Engineer at ISRO - Indian Space Research Organization.
Himanshu Patel obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Bangalore University, which they attended from 1995 to 1999. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Northridge, from 2003 to 2006. Himanshu also obtained several certifications in FDA Quality system and Design Control, GMP/QSR (21CFR Part 820), and QSR Design Controls (21CFR Part 820.30), all from the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI).
