Whitney Bollinger, CAWA has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Starting in 2006, they worked as a Marketing Communications Coordinator at CynergisTek, Inc. where they developed marketing plans and campaigns. In 2008, they became the Publication & Communications Coordinator at EMDR International Association, where they redesigned their marketing efforts and materials. In 2009, they co-founded White Island Design Group, LLC, serving as the CEO and Creative Director, providing graphic designs and digital marketing services. Whitney then transitioned to the role of Marketing and Communications Associate at Austin Humane Society in 2010, where they developed strategic fundraising and marketing campaigns. In 2014, they became the Director of Development & Communications at Humane Society of North Texas, where they modernized the organization and diversified fundraising efforts. In 2016, they joined Texas Christian University as the Assistant Director of Marketing and New Media, Alumni Relations, where they focused on alumni engagement and social media management. In 2017, they became the Director of Fund Development at Spay Neuter Network, transforming their development program and implementing effective donor outreach. Whitney then worked at the City of Dallas as the Assistant Director - Shelter & Administration, Dallas Animal Services Department in 2018, where they led a large team and addressed internal challenges. Currently, Whitney Bollinger is the Director of Strategy & Network Operations at Best Friends Animal Society starting in 2023.
Whitney Bollinger, CAWA, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from The University of Texas at Austin, where they attended from 2003 to 2007. Whitney also participated in a Maymester Program in International Advertising at the University of London in 2006. Additionally, Whitney has obtained several certifications including Certified Animal Welfare Administrator (CAWA) from The Association for Animal Welfare Advancement in October 2020, Certified Animal Control Officer from Texas Health and Human Services in December 2019, and Certified Animal Euthanasia Technician from the Texas Department of State Health Services also in December 2019.
