Kristen Akey is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in technical program management, particularly in risk, legal, and security portfolios. Currently serving as Associate Director/Technical Program Manager at Best Buy since July 2019, responsibilities include leading the PMO and managing program roadmaps. Previous roles at Best Buy involved similar responsibilities as a Senior Manager/Technical Program Manager. Prior to Best Buy, Kristen worked at Integrhythm Inc, overseeing a $10M+ portfolio as Program Manager and leading the Segregation of Duties Program with a $2M+ budget. Kristen's career also includes significant project management experience at Target, managing technology projects within Identity and Access Management and contributing to the development of the ServiceNow Service Catalog. Early career roles included web engineering and development positions at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Ambient Consulting. Kristen holds an MS and BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Certificate in Web Development from Madison Area Technical College.
