Richard Wood has extensive work experience in the hotel industry, holding various management positions. Richard started working at Oxford Hotels & Inns in 2007 as a Regional Manager for Scotland and continued in this role until 2012. Richard then joined Bespoke Hotels in 2012 as a Regional Manager for Scotland and held this position until 2017. In the same year, they moved to Muthu Hotels as the UK Operations Director until September 2017. Later in 2017, they returned to Bespoke Hotels as the Regional Operations Director, a position they currently hold.

Richard Wood attended The University of Huddersfield from 1990 to 1994, where they pursued a degree in Catering & Institutional Management. Richard obtained an HND (Higher National Diploma) in this field.
