Anne Vignot is an experienced professional with a diverse background in governance and research. Since March 2014, Anne serves as Maire Présidente of Besançon, Ville et Communauté Urbaine, and has held the role of Maire Adjointe focused on transition énergétique, développement durable, biodiversité et espaces verts. Additionally, Anne has been a principal research engineer at CNRS - Centre national de la recherche scientifique since August 1984. Previously, from March 2010 to December 2015, Anne was a regional councilor for Région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Academically, Anne holds a DEA in Geography from Université de Franche-Comté and is currently pursuing a PhD in historical geography with a focus on Syria from Université Lumière Lyon 2.
