Emily Szymczak

Language Learner Instructional Specialist at Berwyn North School District 98

Emily Szymczak is an accomplished educator with extensive experience in language instruction and bilingual education. Currently serving as a Language Learner Instructional Specialist and previously as a 6th Grade Emerging Bilingual Teacher at Berwyn North School District 98 since July 2016, Emily has demonstrated a commitment to supporting diverse learners. Prior experience includes working as an English Teaching Assistant in the Fulbright Program, where assistance was provided to local English teachers and students abroad, as well as serving as a Fellow with the Summer Teacher Education Partnership for Urban Preparation. Emily also has experience as a Literacy Tutor and Tutorial Teacher, contributing to programs aimed at improving reading and language skills. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Administration and Supervision from National Louis University and a Bachelor's degree in Bicultural/Bilingual Elementary Education from Illinois State University.
