Toby Bayliss has a strong background in finance and trading. Toby started their career as a Quantitative Analyst at Nomura in 1995 and worked there until 1999. Following this, they joined Citi and served as the Head of Electronic Sales from 1999 to 2008. In 2008, Toby Bayliss joined Sanford C. Bernstein as the Co-Head of European Trading, where they continue to work presently.

Toby Bayliss pursued their education in engineering and mathematics in the following institutions. From 1991 to 1994, they attended the University of Bristol, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Mathematics. Following this, from 1994 to 1995, they attended Heriot-Watt University to complete a Master of Engineering degree in Petroleum Engineering.
