Katie Tatarzyn, FCAS, serves as the Senior Vice President of State Affairs at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance since August 2013, leading a team dedicated to the development and maintenance of profitable and compliant insurance products. Previous roles at The Hanover Insurance Group from January 2011 to August 2013 included Vice President of State Affairs, AVP & Actuary, and Assistant Actuary, focusing on healthcare-related and professional liability products. Earlier experience at Liberty Mutual Insurance from June 2005 to January 2011 involved various actuarial roles encompassing commercial and personal insurance lines, with a focus on ratemaking, reserving, and research and development. Katie Tatarzyn holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Providence College, graduated in 2005, and attended Notre Dame Academy in Hingham from 1997 to 2001.
