Jim Brown is a seasoned banking professional currently serving as the Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Commercial & Private Banking at Berkshire Bank since January 2023. Previously, Jim held leadership roles at Boston Private as Head of Specialty Commercial for SVB Private Bank & Wealth Management, and President of Commercial Banking from December 1999 to November 2021. Additional experience includes serving as Vice President at State Street Bank from June 1992 to December 1999 and as a Commercial Loan Officer at Shawmut Bank from July 1987 to June 1992. Jim also contributes to Ranfac Corp. as a Member of the Board of Directors since December 2021. Jim holds a Master of Business Administration from Boston College Carroll School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Nichols College.
