Leo Smith is a finance professional with extensive experience in credit investments and commercial real estate lending. Currently serving as Principal of the Credit Investments team at Berkeley Partners since January 2024, Leo is responsible for originating, structuring, and managing credit strategies and structured finance investments. Prior to this role, Leo held the position of VP of Commercial Real Estate Lending at Veritex Community Bank from May 2018 to December 2023 and worked in various positions at Commerce Bank, including Relationship Manager and Credit Analyst, from January 2013 to May 2018. Leo began a professional career as a Financial Analyst at General Electric Manufacturing Company (GEMAC) from January 2011 to 2012. Leo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and International Economics from Baker University in 2010.
