Dr Richard MAPENZI has worked at three hospitals since 2012. Dr Richard began their career at Rwamagana Hospital as a Medecin Chef de Service de Pediatrie in 2012. In 2014, they moved to Kiziguro Hospital, where they served as a Maternal and Child Health Officer. In 2017, they joined Benson Hospital as the Chief Medical Officer.

Dr Richard MAPENZI holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from UEA, obtained between 2004 and 2011, with a field of study in General Studies. Dr Richard also holds a DIPLOME DE DOCTEUR EN MEDECINE et SANTE COMMUNAUTAIRE from université évangélique en afrique, obtained between 2004 and 2011, with a field of study in MEDECINE GENERALE. Lastly, they hold a Master of Public Health (MPH) from CUTTINGTON UNIVERSITY, obtained between 2017 and 2019, with a field of study in EPIDEMIOLOGY.
