Aaron E. M.

Chief Legal Officer/COO-Capital Markets at Benefunder

Aaron E. M. began their career in 2005 as a Law Clerk at Brown & Nachman, LLC. Later that year, they became a Judicial Clerk at Wyandotte County District Court. In 2008, they moved to Carey Danis & Lowe, LLC, where they served as Division Managing Attorney. In 2009, they became a Volunteer at From the Top. In 2011, they joined The Copyright Society of the South as a Member, where they participated in discussions on various copyright issues and met with top-level personnel and authority in copyright. In 2021, they became the Chief Legal Officer/COO-Capital Markets at Benefunder, where they assist impact-focused arms of family offices with locating impact and innovation focused companies and oversees legal issues within the company while assisting with solutions to various business challenges.

Aaron E.M. has a diverse educational background. Aaron E. began their education in 1993, graduating with a diploma from Francis Howell North in 1997. Aaron E. then attended the Pierre Laclede Honors College at University of Missouri - Saint Louis, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy, as well as a minor in Legal Studies, and graduated with Honors in 2002. Aaron E. went on to attend the University of Missouri-Kansas City, graduating with a Doctor of Law in 2007. Aaron E. then attended the University of San Diego School of Law, where they earned a Doctor of Law in 2007. Finally, they attended Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, graduating with an LLM in Intellectual Property & Technology in 2010. Currently, Aaron E.M. is enrolled in Columbia Business School, where they are pursuing an Executive Education in Finance-Value Investing.
