James Etzkorn is an experienced landscaper and horticulturist with a strong background in environmental studies and political science, holding dual Bachelor of Science degrees from Northern Arizona University. Currently employed at Bend Park & Recreation District since March 2021, James previously worked as a private gardener from 2017 to 2021, where expertise in plant sensory systems and horticultural practices was developed. Earlier experience includes roles as a snowboard technician, gardener, nursery associate, community engagement associate, greenhouse technician, and research assistant, showcasing a diverse skill set in grounds maintenance, plant care, and environmental policy research.
