Marion Dumas is an accomplished academic and researcher with a focus on sustainable development, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at The London School of Economics and Political Science since September 2017. In addition, Marion holds the position of Senior Academic Advisor at McKinsey Global Institute and provides methodological expertise as a Methodological Advisor at Bend, where efforts are directed toward automating carbon emissions accounting. As an Omidyar Fellow at Santa Fe Institute, Marion conducts research on institutions, cooperation, and social change, while also contributing as a Research Affiliate at Data-Pop Alliance, collaborating on projects related to big data and resilience. Marion's academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Sustainable Development from Columbia University and earlier degrees in Environmental Science and Earth Sciences from ETH Zürich and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, respectively.
