Tahir Yaqub is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within healthcare organizations. Currently serving as the Medical Director at CHCA - Merced since May 2024, Tahir also holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Atwater Medical Group since September 2018. Other notable roles include Hospitalist at Benchmark Hospitalists & Intensivists since July 2017 and former Medical Director at Mercy Medical Center Merced Hospital from January 2018 to August 2022. Tahir served as President Elect of the Merced-Mariposa County Medical Society from January 2019 to December 2020 and held leadership positions at Mercy Medical Center Merced, including Medical Director of the Palliative Care Department and Chairman of the Family Medicine Department between 2009 and 2015. Tahir's medical education culminated in a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Ross University School of Medicine, completed in 1997.
