Jeffrey Melvin is an experienced engineering manager specializing in cloud security, currently serving at Benchling since July 2022. Prior to this role, Jeffrey held various positions at Workiva from August 2014 to July 2022, including Security Engineering Manager and Staff Security Engineer, where responsibilities included overseeing security engineering teams, developing vulnerability management processes, and managing API-based data collection scripts. Jeffrey has also contributed significantly to FedRAMP compliance efforts and has expertise in AWS, Docker, and Splunk. Earlier in the career, Jeffrey worked at MITRE focusing on mobile security research and malware analysis, and conducted research at Iowa State University. Jeffrey holds a Master's degree in Information Assurance and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, both from Iowa State University.
