Christopher Severs is an accomplished professional in the fields of engineering and data science, currently serving as Engineering Manager for Machine Learning and Data Engineering at Benchling since April 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Applied Science Manager at Amazon, where Christopher led initiatives in the Search Machine Learning Platform, and similar positions at A9.com and eBay, contributing to advancements in search ranking and data science strategies. Christopher’s foundational career includes a significant role at Arizona State University as a consultant and graduate student, specializing in algebraic and enumerative combinatorics, alongside postdoctoral research at Reykjavik University and the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute. Christopher holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Arizona State University and a B.A. in Mathematics and Psychology from UC San Diego.
