Karen Cuellar is an experienced educator with a background in science and inclusion teaching. Since August 2017, Karen has worked at Belton Independent School District as both an Inclusion Teacher and a Chemistry Teacher. Prior to this, Karen taught Chemistry at Wylie Independent School District from August 2012 to July 2017 and served as a Science Teacher at Dallas Independent School District from 2008 to 2012. Earlier in their career, Karen was a Senior Research Associate at Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation from 2001 to 2004. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oklahoma Christian University, earned between 1996 and 2000, and furthered education at UT Southwestern Medical Center from 2004 to 2006.
