Caroline Schlutius

High School Science Teacher at Bellows Free Academy

Caroline Schlutius is a dedicated educator and scientist with significant experience in teaching and community outreach. Currently serving as a High School Science Teacher at Bellows Free Academy since August 2022, Caroline previously worked as a Nature Educator for Middlebury Area Land Trust, Inc. and as a Community Outreach Liaison for PETA, where efforts focused on the issue of dog chaining in rural areas. Caroline holds a Master of Science in Biology from William & Mary, where research centered on genome changes and speciation in Chile, and also has a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Yale University. Additional roles at Yale included research assistant positions and serving as the Bulldog Sustainability Coordinator, emphasizing sustainability initiatives within the university. Currently pursuing a Master of Education at Goddard College, Caroline is committed to enhancing educational practices in secondary science.
