Jean-Philippe Bertrand has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Jean-Philippe started their career in 1998 as an Electrical Department worker at Systeme de mobilier Triangle. Jean-Philippe then worked as an Installation Technician at Multinet Communication from 1999 to 2002. After that, they worked as a Press Feeder at Stuart Packaging for a brief period in 2002. Jean-Philippe then transitioned to Quickstyle Industries Inc. as a Warehouse Worker from 2002 to 2005.

In 2005, they joined Mechtronix System as an Electrical Engineering / Hardware Testing professional. Jean-Philippe worked in this role until 2011 when they were promoted to Electrical Engineering Manager till 2012.

From 2012 to 2015, Bertrand worked as a Postal System Technician at Canada Post. Jean-Philippe then joined TRU Simulation + Training in 2015 as an Electrical Production Engineering professional until 2017.

In 2017, they began working at BellatRx Inc. Jean-Philippe started as an Automation Developer - Team Lead from 2017 to 2019. Jean-Philippe was then promoted to Automation Department Manager and held the position until 2022. Following this, they worked as a Senior Automation Developer for a few months in 2022 before becoming the Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead in 2023, which is their current role.

Jean-Philippe Bertrand completed their Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Electronic Design at Cegep Gerald Godin from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Telecommunication Installation and Repair from Centre Emile Legault from 1998 to 1999.
