Paul Lin has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Paul has worked in various roles and companies, showcasing their expertise in engineering and software development.
Starting from their most recent position at Bell Flight in 2023, Paul served as a Principal Engineer, Avionics. In this role, they built a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) model to analyze tradeoffs and optimize electronic systems. Paul also analyzed and troubleshooted the Data Concentration Unit (DCU) on aircrafts to resolve issues arising in the simulation environment.
Prior to Bell Flight, Paul worked at Earlens Corporation as a Sr System Engineer from 2019 to 2023. Here, they established a new microphone calibration procedure and devised Soundcheck sequences for system input/output calibrations.
From 2018 to 2019, Paul was a Principal Software Engineer at Raytheon where they conducted PCB durability tests and developed algorithms in Python scripts to control ASIC memory read and write mechanisms.
Before that, Paul worked at USRA as a Software Engineer from 2012 to 2018. In this role, they maintained periodic updates of Center-TRACON Airspace Software (CTAS) configuration files and designed and implemented new GUI/UI visual design features using Java.
Paul's earlier experience includes working as a Research Engineer at Optimal Synthesis Inc. from 2009 to 2012, an Application Audio Engineer at Broadcom from 2006 to 2009, and an Engineering Intern at Broadcom in 2006.
Paul'scareer began with roles as a Research Assistant at UW-Madison Computerized Electromagnetic Laboratory in 2003, and as a Participating Student at UW-Madison Helically Symmetric Experiment Lab in 2002.
Throughout their work experience, Paul has demonstrated their skills in areas such as systems engineering, software development, audio engineering, and research and analysis.
Paul Lin earned their BSEE in Electrical Engineering from UW-Madison College of Engineering from 2000 to 2004. Later, they attended Stanford University from 2004 to 2006, where they obtained their MSEE in Electrical Engineering.
