Jian Sun is a Senior Researcher Investigator at BeiGene since August 2019, focusing on structure-based drug discovery for cancer treatment. Prior to this, Jian served as a Senior Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University from August 2018 to July 2019, conducting Cryo-EM studies on infectious disease viruses for drug discovery. Jian's experience also includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at Penn State University from November 2015 to July 2018, where investigations centered on the activation mechanism of histone acetyltransferase yGcn5 in cancer development and the determination of the crystal structure of the SAGA complex. Earlier, Jian was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (April 2014 - October 2015), focusing on the role of the limiting CO2-inducible B protein family in CO2-Concentrating Mechanisms. Jian holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (2007-2013) and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from East China Normal University (2003-2007).
