Selen Tosun has worked in a variety of roles since 2009. In 2009, they were a Project Assistant at Bona Finans Ltd. Şti., working on the first phase of the Turkish Morbidity Tables Project. From 2010 to 2014, they were a Product Development Specialist and an Actuarial Reporting Specialist at Aegon Türkiye, where they launched return of premium and critical illness life insurance products and relaunched pension products to comply with regulation changes. From 2014 to 2020, they were a Product Development Specialist and an Actuarial Valuation Specialist at NN Hayat ve Emeklilik, where they launched Critical Illness and SME life insurance products. In 2020, they were a Sales Development Manager at Behaviorsoft, an SDR at WeCure, and an Executive Assistant at GK Construction. Additionally, they have been a Volunteer and Board Member at FETAV (Calis Children's Charity) since 2017, facilitating aid for local children in need and acting as a bridge between the charity and government offices.

Selen Tosun's education history consists of five schools. Selen began their education in 1991 at ODTÜ Geliştirme Vakfı Okulları, followed by Tabeetha School, Tel-Aviv Israel from 1997 to 1999. From 1999 to 2001, they attended Ankara Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi. Selen then moved on to Ankara University, where they earned their Bachelor's degree in Statistics from 2001 to 2008. Finally, Selen Tosun is currently pursuing their Master's degree in Actuarial Sciences at Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University.
