Chaoran Yang has a long and varied work experience. In 2008, they worked as a Software Engineer at Software Innovation Lab, a startup company and a member of Microsoft Vender Program. In 2013, they worked as a Research Intern at Argonne National Laboratory. In 2014, they worked as an Intern at Quantum Reservoir Impact, implementing a simplex method for linear programming and a maximum likelihood estimation method for data imputation. In 2015, they worked as an Advisor at Quantum Reservoir Impact, advising software architecture and technical stack for large-scale machine learning and teaching web development techniques and practices. Finally, in 2019, they worked as Chief Technology Officer at Bees360 Inc.
Chaoran Yang attended Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Information Engineering. Chaoran then attended Rice University from 2009 to 2012, where they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science. Finally, they attended Rice University from 2012 to 2015, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science.
