Aloys Teunissen has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. In 2022, they joined Beekenkamp Plants B.V. as the head of the tissue culture lab. Prior to that, they worked at DSM Food Specialties as a Senior Scientist in Molecular Biology and Yeast Genetics from 2012 to 2020. Aloys also held a similar role at C5 Yeast Company B.V. in 2011. Aloys Teunissen completed their PhD at Royal Nedalco from 2008 to 2011. Earlier in their career, they worked as a scientist at VU University Amsterdam from 1999 to 2002. Aloys also held positions as a postdoc at KULeuven from 1996 to 1999. Aloys started their professional journey as an AIO at Leiden University from 1988 to 1995 and TU Delft from 1988 to 1992.

Aloys Teunissen completed their VWO degree from snl in 1980. Aloys later pursued biology at the University of Amsterdam and earned a Drs degree in 1988.
