Ed Lorenz has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Their most recent position was as Vice President of Supply Chain at Beech-Nut Nutrition Company, which they held from November 2016. Prior to that, they served as Senior Vice President at Reyes Holdings from October 2014 to April 2016.
Before joining Reyes Holdings, Ed held various leadership roles at different companies within the PepsiCo organization. From 2011 to 2014, they were the Senior Director of Supply Chain Manufacturing at Quaker Foods and Snacks. In this role, they oversaw three manufacturing facilities and led a team of 955 associates. Ed was responsible for safety, quality, service, cost, and organizational health. Ed also focused on continuous improvement and reducing operating expenses.
From 2007 to 2011, Ed worked at Frito-Lay Inc., PepsiCo as the Senior Director of Service and Distribution. Ed managed the service and distribution functions across the North division, leading six business regions. Ed was in charge of developing and executing operating plans, supporting field operations leaders, and driving national initiatives.
Prior to this, they held various roles at Frito-Lay, Inc., PepsiCo starting from 1996. Ed served as a Sales Operations Manager from 2004 to 2007 and as a Manufacturing Manager from 1999 to 2004. Additionally, they held the position of National Baked Products Captain from 2000 to 2004. Earlier in their career, they were a Technical Manager at Frito-Lay, Inc., PepsiCo from 1996 to 1999.
Ed's career at Frito-Lay, Inc., PepsiCo began in 1988, where they took on a range of roles such as Technical Manager, Business Unit Leader, Maintenance Manager, and Project Engineering Manager until 1996. Ed initially joined the company in 1985 as a Maintenance Supervisor, Production Supervisor, and Engineer.
Ed Lorenz attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, Ed pursued further education at Michigan State University, where they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
