Daker El Rabaya

CEO, Waste Processing, Treatment & Disposal at Bee'ah

Daker El Rabaya is the Managing Director of Waste Processing, Treatment and Disposal at Bee’ah. With over ten years experience and expertise in the field of facilities management, his role includes overseeing the smooth operation at all of Bee’ah’s facilities including the Material Recovery Facility (MRF), Tyre Recycling Facility (TRF), Construction and Demolition Waste Recycling Facility, Composting, Plastic Recycling and Wood Processing, at the Waste Management Centre at Al Saj’ah, among others.

Under the guidance and direction of Mr. El Rabaya, Bee’ah’s Waste Management Centre has already accomplished, through various operational methods, a more than 33 per cent diversion rate of total waste from landfills in Sharjah. In the capable hands of Mr. El Rabaya the Waste Management Centre has grown consistently and now a total of over 500 trucks pass through the complex’s gates, per day, to dispose of various waste loads. This results in 900 tonnes of various waste types entering through the Material Recycling Facility, from where it is processed for recycling or sent to the landfill, on a daily basis.

Prior to joining the Bee’ah team, Mr. El Rabaya was the Plant Manager at Tadweer waste management company for four years and was responsible for managing existing facilities and the design of future facilities, including a waste-to-energy feasibility study. This experience has proved to be invaluable in his career development as Managing Director of Waste Processing, Treatment and Disposal whereby he can draw on knowledge specific to Bee’ah’s future objectives.

El Rabaya also held a position as Plant Manager at LINSCAN, a fully integrated pipeline and tank inspection company where he managed the Research and Development, Design, Manufacturing, Electronics and Warehouse departments. He has also served as Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager at PROTECH, a company specialised in laboratory furniture, where he established and maintained a Total Quality Management and Just-in-Time process leading both the technical and process improvements.

Before this, El Rabaya was the Quality Department Manager at United Iron and Steel Manufacturing Company, a fully integrated steel recycling company integrating a power station and gas production facilities. It was here where he oversaw all technical and process inspections and was also deputy to the plant manager. Mr. El Rabaya holds a Master’s degree in electro-mechanical engineering from East Ukranian University.
